Dobroslawa Nowak (1987) is a writer and contemporary art curator based in Milan.
Writing in English, Italian, Polish, and occasionally French and Spanish, she contributed to international magazines and worked with brands worldwide. Among the brands she worked with are Florida-based software company Hummingbirds AI, a Dutch marketing specialist label Ompro, a creative agency Design Bro, an Australia-based finance group Dealify, and a Berlin-based software producer, Building Minds. For these and other international brands, she contributed texts aligned with the brand voice and communication style, which are used in the websites, social media, newsletters, and blogs.
As a contributing writer, she has published in art and culture magazines, such as Contemporary Lynx, Kabul, Rivista Segno, Made in Mind, Juliet Mag, ATP Diary, Hygge, Exibart, Forme Uniche, L’Art à Genève, Magazyn Szum, BLOK Magazine, ArtLuk, Czas Kultury, and others. She has been contributing to these titles as an independent writer and contemporary art expert, writing reviews, providing art fair guides, and interviewing art world figures, such as Tobias Zielony, a representative of Germany at the 2015 Venice Biennale, Gilbert & George, and others.
Besides publishing articles, reviews, and columns, she develops her research focused on contemporary art. Excerpts of her essays appeared in studies of other authors, such as “Aborto senza frontiere. Il movimento polacco e i suoi modelli”, Alessandro Ajres, Rosenberg & Sellier (2022) and “Chimera: Il Corpo Espanso per una nuova ecosofia dell’arte” by Marco Mancuso, Mimesis Edizioni (2023).
As a contemporary art curator, she worked with prominent artists, such as Regina Jose Galindo, awarded a Golden Lion in Venice Biennale, Tobias Zielony, a representative of Germany at the 2015 Venice Biennale, and Diego Marcon, a winner of the Foundation Hernaux Sculpture Award and the MAXXI Bulgari Prize 2018, among others.
In 2019, she founded a multichannel platform The Italian Art Guide, promoting Italian contemporary art, where she is a CEO and Editor-in-chief.
